What documents are needed to set up a power of attorney?
Typically, we require a valid government-issued photo ID, a clear statement of powers granted, and any existing documents you wish to reference. If you’re unsure, bring any relevant papers and our notary will advise you.
Can Notarix assist with inheritance and estate documents?
Yes. We help you prepare, review and notarize wills, codicils, and estate declarations. We ensure each document meets the legal requirements in Ontario and guide you through signing and witnessing procedures.
What are your office hours?
Our office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and by appointment on Saturdays. Evening or weekend slots can be arranged in advance for added convenience.
Do you offer mobile notary services?
Yes, we provide on-site notarial services at your home, office or another agreed location within the Ottawa area. Mobile visits are subject to availability and may involve a small travel fee.
How are your service fees determined?
Fees depend on the type and complexity of the document, the number of signatures and whether mobile service is required. We’ll provide a clear estimate before proceeding so you know the cost up front.

How quickly can I get my documents notarized?
Most simple documents can be notarized on the same day, often within 15–30 minutes of arrival. Complex matters or custom drafting may require a brief review period.
Can you help with document translation before notarization?
While we do not provide translation services in-house, we can refer you to trusted professionals. Once translated, we’ll handle the notarization and attestation steps.
